Due to the unseasonably wet weather, we have unfortunately had to take the decision to cancel ‘An Evening of Fools’ at Auckland Castle on Monday 27th August. The current ground conditions, and projected further bad weather, mean we would be unable to install the required infrastructure for the event.
Rowena Hackwood, Chief Executive of Auckland Castle Trust, commented: ‘We are very disappointed to cancel this event, but we, like so many venues this year, have been thwarted by the weather. We want to thank all of you who are supporting us as in our new venture to increase access to Auckland Castle and develop a fabulous heritage site; we have been overwhelmed by public support, and are committed to opening the Castle as much as we can in the future’.
All ticket holders will be refunded
