An intimate evening of music featuring some of the fines talent our region has to offer, set in the idyllic surroundings of Crook Hall, a 13th century Grade 1 listed medieval hall in the centre of Durham.
Dan Walsh
6pm – 8pm, Wednesday 1st August Tickets £6
‘Incredibly gifted – if anyone has the opportunity to see him they must’ -
Janice Long, BBC Radio 2
Since graduating from the now ‘notorious for talent’ Folk degree at Newcastle
University, Dan Walsh hasn’t stopped touring. On a rare trip back to the
region he holds closely in his heart, Dan is chuffed to bits to be able to bring
his individual (and truly incredible) style of banjo to Crook Hall. Prepare to be
amazed!
Scott William Albert Hartley
6pm – 8pm, Tuesday 14th August Tickets £6
Lakeland born and bred, Scott is a fiddle player and singer whose music can
truly be described as learnt at the knee. From first learning to play the fiddle
from the man living across the road, to sitting down with his Grandfather
and learning old songs and tales, Scott’s music explores the past in forward
motion.
Tickets for both events are available from Crook Hall and Gardens on 0191
384 8028 or visit www.crookhallgardens.co.uk
In the event of poor weather the performances will take place in the medieval
hall.
